Please Don't Lash Me, Skinny G

Fun is fun but you'll not hear any serious criticism of Skinny G from me.

This is due to either

a) there is nothing negative or even mockable about the lovely and capable Mrs Palin

or

b) according to the New York Times her staff has contacted at least one local blogger to tell them to "Stop blogging right now!." Read it here (and I didn't make up the headline)

Once Elected, Palin Hired Friends and Lashed Foes

I really don't care to write a political blog anyway but even if I had such an urge I'm not nearly anonymous enough to take on the possible future President of the United States (who are we kidding anyway?)

My readership is probably 25 regular readers (thank you all) but I sort of know people who know people and therefore I'd be on a tight leash if I crossed any real lines. I'm not going to put my employment at stake, thank you very much.

So no more Skinny G talk.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, however, are HILARIOUS!

What a sad, sad world we live in sometimes.

A Sunday morning news show queried the impact that SNL's (Tina Fey -Wow!) spoof of our Skinny G would have on the general election, as they thought it was quite clear that SNL had indeed impacted the primary.

When did it happen that a week-end comedy show has political clout not just humor? Can't hilarious just be hilarious? Or stress relief from the deluge of political ads? And yes E, it was really hilarious, I loved Amy's Hilary too...very funny stuff, but change my vote???? Not so much.

48 days and counting.....aarrgghh.

Well, I think we need to realize that some of the younger tv watchers are actually getting their news from Jon Stewart, (who in a very funny meltdown against Tucker Carlson, he clearly pointed out that he wasn't a serious news show because the program that follows him was 'a program of puppets making crank phone calls...') you have to see that indeed some people are shifted in their opinions by a tv program.

Luckily my opinion is a little more seasoned, but every vote still does count, even if only in a symbolic way.

I just want it all to be over, almost as if it were a bad hangover.

It was still funny though, very very funny.
