As a fellow dog lover, and a brother, I feel and share in your loss.

I hope that in the coming days and months you can have moments of reflection and remembrances that will bring you comfort.

Our thoughts are with you.

E & K & Sugar Baby,

We both sincerely have felt and do feel your pain and agony. You did the right thing. Stay strong - keep the fond memories as tribute to your dearest departed. We're here for you - please don't hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do.

Sorry about the loss of your dog. He looked like a real dwac (dog with a character).

Made me think about my own dogs' mortality which really isn't a nice thought. Someone should breed a more durable model.

Poor girl. Even in death they think she's a boy :-)

Thanks folks. Today is a day of mourning. She was a trooper to the very end but sometimes the right thing, not the easy thing but the right thing, to do is to let her go.

I'm so sorry to hear about Bailey. She will obviously be missed. *sniff* My Loki-cat has probably already welcomed her to wherever they all are. My sympathies to you all.

Eric (and Kelly)
I'm very very sorry to hear about your loss! I too have been dealing with my dogs mortality. My vet confirmed today that one of my dogs has acute leukemia (nothing cute about it) and is not expected to make it much longer. I too will have to come face-to-face with one of life's most difficult decisions. Be thankful for the good memories!

J & K,
I am sorry to hear of your loss. May this provide comfort.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Sorry for your loss hon. All of my pets aren't just pets, they're all part of the family and I can see that yours are too. It's so very hard.

Eric, Kelli, I am so sorry to see that one of your pups has passed on. I am sure she is running around and having a grand old time in heaven. She'll be there to meet you some day! Until then remember all the great times you had. She was beautiful!

You folks are so great. Your good wishes have definitely been appreciated in our time of grief.

Now go hug an animal (even if it's one you are married to)!
